Congratulations to ALL 31 students who competed at the SkillsUSA Connecticut State Conference on Friday, March 27th. All of our students did an amazing job representing themselves and OWTS at the annual SkillsUSA State Conference. They were not only all on time for a 5:45 am departure but were prepared for their competitions against the other students from across Connecticut.
Oliver Wolcott Technical High School won 2nd Place in the Outstanding Chapter of all 17 Technical High Schools bringing home a 4-foot Trophy! The school that is about 20 miles south on Route 8 took 1st place. It is now my mission to take that from them next year!!
The 5 students going to Atlanta, GA to compete nationally and represent OWTS and Connecticut are:

- Justin Hall 1st Place CNC 2 AXIS TURNING PROGRAMMER
- Giacomo Lago 1st Place CNC 3 AXIS MILLING PROGRAMMER
- Brynn Tracey 1st Place RESTAURANT SERVICE
